Foxy BrownFemale rapper Foxy Brown has rejected a plea deal with prosecutors regarding charges of assault that stem from an incident that occurred at a Manhattan nail salon.

Brown is currently facing misdemeanour charges of assault, attempted assault and harassment; she has maintained her innocence throughout, reports AllHipHop.

Brown has been accused of punching and kicking two of the salon’s employees after they refused to allow her to leave the salon over a monetary dispute.

Prosecutors are saying that employees at the salon refused to give a manicure due to the late hour she arrived. Employees at the salon claim that Brown failed to pay a £20 bill for their services.

Brown has told the Associated Press: "I got the pedicure, but they didn't give me the manicure."

Her lawyer Joseph Tacopino went on to say: "This is someone trying to use the criminal justice system to extract money from a celebrity."

is due to appear in court on July 28.
