My Chemical Romance have finished recording their new album at the second attempt, frontman Gerard Way has revealed.
The singer spoke about the album's completion at during an interview at Comic-Con in San Diego.
"We just finished the album so we're excited about that," he told a crowd of journalists and fans. "The second attempt at the album - we're really happy with it."
My Chemical Romance started work on the follow-up to 2006's 'The Black Parade' early last year.
In March, guitarist Frank Iero said the group had written some “very powerful new songs”, and described the material as “the most exciting and honest work we have ever created”.
The as-yet-untitled new album has yet to be given a release date.
