Van Halen are recording a new studio album with original singer David Lee Roth, it's been reported.
The band are understood to have reunited with their former vocalist twenty-six years after they parted company.
A press release issued by their record label Warner/Chappell Music said: "The group is currently in the studio recording an album with Roth that is due for release in 2011."
Roth left Van Halen in 1985 but rejoined them for a concert tour in 2007 and 2008, which grossed $93million.
Details about the as-yet-untitled album have yet to be confirmed by the band.
In July, guitarist Eddie Van Halen's wife and spokesperson Janie described reports that Van Halen had completed a new album as “rumours”.
