American Headcharge have been confirmed for this year’s Download Festival and are set to play in honour of the death of guitarist Bryan Ottoson.
The band will perform on the Snickers stage on Saturday June 11 and will dedicate the performance to their band mate. The band are currently continuing their US tour and recently vowed to carry on performing.
A statement from the band reads: “Bryan was a vital member of our group and a key songwriter on The Feeding. It is our intention to honor his memory by re-joining Mudvayne, one of Bryan's favorite bands, on the current tour."
"Words cannot convey the depth of our sadness, but we want our fans to be able to hear the music Bryan loved so much. He'd be pissed if we didn't continue on."
Ottoson was found dead in his tour bus bunk on April 19 from a suspected prescription overdose; police are currently conducting a full investigation into his death.
