Carl Barat has revealed that he has still yet to meet-up with Pete Doherty ahead of The Libertines' reunion next month.
The band, who announced their reformation in March, are scheduled to play a comeback gig in London before heading to the Reading and Leeds festivals.
Barat told XFM he had spoken recently to drummer Gary Powell and bassist John Hassal but said Doherty had not been present.
“(The band) met for a drink recently, but Pete wasn’t there because he was in Crewe or somewhere,” the singer and guitarist said.
“I’ve emailed Pete but he doesn’t do his emails. We've had a few chats, but we’re both really busy, funnily enough.”
He added: “So we’ve got a few weeks blocked out to have a proper social and get the rehearsals done as well.”
The band's performances next month will mark the first time they have played together in six years.
Meanwhile, Barat is due to release a solo album and book of memoirs later this year.
