John Lydon has revealed he turned down an offer to work with Gorillaz.
The former Sex Pistols star said Damon Albarn asked him to appear on their recent album 'Plastic Beach' alongside the likes of Snopp Dogg and Lou Reed.
But Lydon rejected the approach because he wasn't interested.
“They gave me a bell but the answer was ‘no’,” he told the Daily Star.
“I really don’t want to be dabbling in other people’s gene pools.
“I’ve worked with many so-called famous people over the years but it’s never been for any deliberate financial motivation.”
'Plastic Beach' also featured guest appearance from Mark E Smith and Mos Def.
