Reading festival organisers are set to pilot a new scheme which will limit the amount of alcohol festival-goers can bring to the event.
It follows a report into the final evening of last year's festival, which saw the outbreak of numerous on-site fires.
The restrictions, which only come into force on the Sunday (August 29), mean that alcohol bought from outside the campsite will be banned after 6pm.
No firewood will also be allowed on-site after 6pm and any campfires will have to be extinguished by 8pm, reports getbracknell.co.uk.
Organisers Festival Republic, in conjunction with the local council, have also agreed to increase night-time security throughout the whole event.
The Reading festival takes place from August 27-29 and will be headlined by Guns N' Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink-182.
