30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto defended Justin Bieber after he was booed at Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
The 16-year-old teen sensation was jeered as his name was called out at the event in Bangor on Saturday.
But Leto brushed off the reaction, and said Bieber could overcome it.
“He's a young kid," Leto told BBC Newsbeat. "He'll be able to charm the crowd."
Later in the day, the teen star proved the 30 Seconds To Mars singer right when his three-song set was greeted by loud cheers from fans.
Both artists were among a host of acts who played the two-day free festival at the weekend.
