Pete Doherty is struggling for money and staging one-off gigs just to pay rent, it's been claimed.
The Babyshambles singer is understood to be living in a basement flat underneath a key cutter's in Camden.
"Pete is completely broke,” a source told The Sun newspaper.
“He's found this squalid pad and he's doing shows for any cash landlords will offer."
As previously reported on Gigwise, Doherty is expected to receive a share of a £1.2million fee to play the Reading and Leeds festival with the Libertines in August.
The singer's former band have reunited in their original line-up for the event.
