On Monday Gigwise reported that ex-Pixie Frank Black had recorded a duet with Courtney Love on his new album ‘Honeycomb’.
It turns out this was actually untrue and all the work of a mistaken journalist from MTV who interviewed Black. In fact he actually recorded the duet with his ex-wife, Jean, whom the song is all about.
Black has since fumed to Gigwise: "Huh? I have no idea what this guy is talking about. It must be his prank. I just talked to the guy yesterday. We spoke of the duet, but not of Courtney. He must be trying to get hits on the site."
However, two days later the online music media is still sinking its teeth into the original false story and some well known websites are still reporting that the duet was recorded with Love.
