Jack White has said he is ready to record a new White Stripes album with bandmate Meg White.
The pair have not performed together since they cancelled a world tour in 2007 to allow Meg to deal with anxiety problems.
However, White said he believed Meg had now overcome her troubles, and that he was keen for them to work together again.
“I would like to," he told The Times. “I don’t think her anxiety exists any more, but I don’t know.”
The singer also revealed that Meg had been a regular fixture in the studio when his side-project The Dead Weather recorded their upcoming second album.
“She ’s still involved and everything, but we’ve never sat down and gone: ‘OK, so don’t forget to block out three months…" he said.
"Although we never did that, even in the thick of the craziness of the White Stripes.
“I have nothing planned after this month coming up, but I know that it all will be filled up really fast.”
The Dead Weather’s new album ‘Sea of Cowards' is released later this month.
