Idlewild have announced plans to go on hiatus, blaming a lack of “demand” for their music.
The Scottish group are set to take a break at the end of their current gig schedule, which concludes at Dunfermline’s Velocity on May 1.
In a message to fans, singer Roddy Womble said: "There isn’t the demand for our music that there was in the past, especially not outside of Britain, so it seems after this year it's an appropriate time to take a break, a 'hiatus' or whatever you want to call it."
Idlewild released their most recent album ‘Post Electric Blues’ last October.
