Prime minister Gordon Brown has revealed that he is a fan of Lady Gaga and the US television smash hit Glee.
“Oh yes! It’s brilliant,” Mr Brown said of the TV series, which he admitted he preferred over more serious dramas including Mad Men and Cranford.
The prime minister's comments about Glee come just a month after his wife Sarah told the Telegraph she hadn't seen the programme.
Mr Brown also told the Radio Times that he preferred Lady Gaga over Madonna, and Cheryl Cole to her fellow X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the prime minister also voiced support for beleaguered radio station 6 Music during the interview.
Mr Brown well-timed comments come as Labour launch their bid to secure a fourth term at next month's general election.
