Liam Gallagher: 'I Don't Mind Illegal Downloading'

Liam Gallagher has said he's not concerned about people who download music illegally.

The former Oasis singer said file-sharing was only comparable to when he used to tape songs broadcast during the weekly chart show as a youngster.

Instead, he criticised musicians who complained that their music was being stolen and said they should take it as a compliment.

Gallagher told Shortlist magazine: “Downloading’s the same as what I used to do – I used to tape the charts of the songs I liked [off the radio]. I don’t mind it.

“I hate all these big, silly rock stars who moan – at least they’re ****in’ downloading your music, you c*nt, and paying attention, know what I mean?”

He added: “You should ****in’ appreciate that – what are you moaning about? “You’ve got ****in’ five big houses, so shut up.”

As previously reported on Gigwise, Gallagher also used the interview to discuss Oasis' split last year and slam his brother, Noel.

Gallagher is currently recording his debut solo album, which he said was due out next year.
