Lady Gaga will be asked to write a theme tune for the next James Bond film, it's been reported.
The US singer is understood to be producers “top choice” to create a song for the iconic spy franchise.
"Bond bosses are all huge Gaga fans,” a source told The Sun.
“Her sound and sense of drama make her the top choice. Gaga has the look as well as the voice to tackle a thundering ballad.
“She's a great songwriter too. This is perfect on every level."
Amy Winehouse, who has been linked to the franchise in the past, and Michael Buble are also said to be in contention to write the theme for the new film.
Previous Bond themes have been performed by Dame Shirely Bassey, Madonna and most recently Jack White and Alicia Keys.
The next movie, which will once again star Daniel Craig as Bond, is due to go into production later this year.
