The Specials singer Terry Hall has hinted that the band could record a new album.
The group, who reformed two years ago to mark their 30th anniversary, haven't released an album proper since 1980's 'More Specials'.
In an interview with Spinner, Hall said the group were open to recording new material, but that it would have to be “incredibly great”.
"Nothing has been written," he said.
"We've played around a bit, but we've all agreed that if we're going to make an album, it's got to [be] an incredibly great album.
“If we're up for that, and we think that we have the parts in place, there's no reason we won't start recording.”
Hall added: “I think at this level [we need] to play for a while, like we did before we had a record deal."
The Specials are set to make a special appearance at the Benicassim festival in Spain this summer.
