Jack White has hailed Jay-Z as “brilliant” after they hit the studio to record material together.
The Dead Weather, White Stripes and Raconteurs star revealed earlier this month that he'd been working with The Jigga Man, however, both parties have stayed quiet about the specifics of the project.
Speaking to Radio 1's Zane Lowe last night, White enthused: "We're in the middle of working on some things right now - I think it sounds incredible.
"He's brilliant - there's just no doubt about it," White said. "He's the best thing going in hip hop and has been for years."
Meanwhile, Jack White has given a bizarre nod to his critics – including Gigwise's Robert Leedham – in a blog on The Dead Weather website.
White simply posted all the negative reviews to The Dead Weather's new single 'Die By the Drop' without comment. Unsurprisingly it was deleted today.
In yet more Jack White news, The Dead Weather have just unveiled the track-listing to their new album 'Sea Of Cowards, scheduled for release on May 10th. It is as follows:
1. Blue Blood Blues
2. Hustle And Cuss
3. The Difference Between Us
4. I'm Mad
5. Die By The Drop
6. I Can't Hear You
7. Gasoline
8. No Horse
9. Looking At The Invisible Man
10. Jawbreaker
11. Old Mary
