The National have confirmed to Gigwise that they are playing Glastonbury Festival this summer.
We asked the band's resident multi-instrumentalist Aaron Dessner about The National's UK festival plans for the summer and he told us: “We're confirmed for Latitude and Glastonbury.”

The Glastonbury slot will come a month after the release of their magnificent fifth studio album 'High Violet' which is currently on heavy rotation in the Gigwise office.

Glastonbury Festival takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton from June 23rd to the 27th 2010.
U2, Muse and Stevie Wonder headline, while Orbital, Florence & The Machine, Mumford & Sons, Corinne Bailey-Rae and Jack Johnson will also appear on the bill.
