Pete Doherty has been arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs following the death of heiress Robin Whitehead.
The 31-year-old singer was one of four people taken into custody last week in connection with the ongoing investigation in Whitehead's death.
The heiress, whose late granddaughter Teddy Goldsmith founded The Ecologist magazine, was found dead in a flat in east London in January.
Whitehead, an amateur film-maker, had been shooting a documentary, The Road The Albion, about the singer and his former band, The Libertines.
A police spokesperson said: "A 31-year-old man was arrested on March 19 on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.
“He was bailed to return on a date in April pending further inquiries."
According to The Telegraph, two of Doherty's friends, Peter Wolfe and Alan Wass, were also arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs.
The flat's owner, Gill Samworth, was also arrested on suspicion of allowing the property to be used to supply drugs.
