Green Day have already started work on the follow-up to their eighth studio album '21st Century Breakdown'.
Despite leaving fans in limbo for five years between their last two records, it seems the pop-punk trio are eager to get the next album out quicker.
Speaking to Kerrang!, singer Billie Joe Armstrong revealed they used days off during their October 2009 European tour to lay down demos.
“We did some demos in Berlin, some in Stockholm, some just outside of Glasgow and some in Amsterdam,” he said. “We wanted get them down in some early form."
'21st Century Breakdown' shot to the top of the album chart in 15 countries shortly after its release in May 2009.
