Shane MacGowan has confessed to being a huge fan of Jedward heralding them as the best thing to emerge from his home country Ireland in ages.
The infamously boozy Pogues singer was speaking about the twins – full name John and Edward Grimes – ahead of St Patrick's Day celebrations today.
Despite the duo being dumped by their record label Sony on Monday, MacGowan insisted he and his partner Victoria loved them.
"They are the best thing to come out of Ireland in ages," he blathered to The Sun.
Yesterday, Jedward's manager Louis Walsh said he was still “committed” to his act insisting “they have a great career ahead of them.”
