Stereophonics singer Kelly Jones says the group are optimistic about coming to the end of their current record deal.
The group signed to V2 in 1996, but were later transferred to major label Universal when it bought out the independent in 2007.
In an interview with XFM, Jones said the band were already looking forward the future following the release of their latest album 'Keep Calm And Carry On'.
“This is the last record on our contract,” he said. “We signed for two, that went to five and then to seven…We made it!”
The singer added: “I’m actually quite looking forward to people batting it about!”
Stereophonics recently completed their UK tour in support of 'Keep Calm And Carry On'.
