Lil' Wayne is due to appear in court in New York today (March 8) to be sentenced for gun possession.
The rapper, real name Dwayne Carter, is expected to be handed a maximum one-year sentence as part of a plea deal.
But that could be reduced to eight months with good behaviour.
The rapper was due to begin his prison term in February, but sentencing was delayed to allow him to complete dental surgery.
It was delayed again last Monday after a courtroom fire broke out at the Lower Manhattan court the rapper was due to be sentenced at.
Fire damage then prevented the star from being sentenced on Wednesday.
Lil' Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted gun possession at a court hearing last October.
He was arrested in July 2007 when police found him trying to conceal a .40 calibre semi-automatic loaded handgun on his tour bus.
Lil' Waynesaid recently that he was “looking forward” to beginning his prison sentence.
