T.I. To Release First Album Since Serving Prison Term

T.I. has announced plans to release a new album this summer – his first since serving a one-year prison term.

The rapper is currently working on a record in conjunction with his new movie, Takers.

His manager, Jason Geter, told MTV: "We did a deal with the film studio Screen Gems for the movie Takers with T.I.

"Both the album and the film are coming out at the end of the summer. So, yeah, we have a release date."

Notable producers linked to the album include The-Dream, although Geter added that T.I. was looking to work with “a lot of new guys”.

T.I. recently served seven months of a one-year prison sentence for a federal weapons charge.
