Joint founder of the Rage Against The Machine for Christmas Number 1 Facebook group, Tracy Morter, has spoken to Gigwise about the free London gig this summer.
Last night it was confirmed that Rage Against The Machine would play their free victory gig – dubbed Rage Factor – as promised on June 6th in Finsbury Park.
Shortly after the announcement, Tracy, who set up the group with her husband Jon, told us: “It's fantastic news to hear Rage are coming over to thank everyone with the free gig as promised.
“It'll actually be my first time seeing them live and Jon's 4th time - he says Reading 96 was amazing - so roll around June.”
Asked if they had a message to the people who bought the record in December and made the gig possible, Tracy added: “We'd like to wish everybody luck in getting a ticket and a huge thanks for helping us hit the 100K for Shelter mark last week! We'll see you there..Take The Power Back!”
Fans need to register for a chance to gain tickets to the event via theragefactor.co.uk.
Registration is open now until midnight on Sunday (February 14). A lottery will then be held from 9am on February 17.
The gig is open to all ages but those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello said of the gig:“Well...here we come. June 6, Finsbury Park, the celebration/party/revolution is ON!!"
