Details of Rage Against The Machine's free UK gig 'should' be revealed later this week, festival booker Andy Copping has confirmed.
In December the Calfornian band vowed to play a “huge” free show in the UK in 2010 to celebrate successfully beating X Factor's Joe McElderry to the Christmas number one thanks to a Facebook campaign.
On Saturday (February 6), Live Nation promoter and Download Festival booker Andy Copping wrote on his Twitter page: “There should be news regarding the free RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE gig late next week...”
RATM are one of the many names being linked to this year's Download Festival line-up too and Copping today confirmed there would be announcement concerning that next week.
“Patience people,” he wrote. “A (Download) announcement will be forthcoming next week, all will be good, you should like what we have. Can't wait for the doubters."
