Dinosaur Jr! Dates Ahoy!

Grunge pioneers Dinosaur Junior have a bevy of dates confirmed for their spectacular reunion tour.

Original members, J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph are getting together after a 15 year absence. (Physically, of course. Have they been absent from our hearts though? Never!)

The shout-tastic threesome are already playing two shows at London Forum (June 8-9) and also an appearance at the Download Festival (10). And as a finger-on-the-pulse reader of Gigwise, I imagine you already knew that.

But did you know this?! They are heading over to Japan’s Fuji Rock festival, (July 29-31) as well! I knew I'd catch you out. (Don't write in and tell me you already knew, let me enjoy this moment of triumph...)

If you haven't yet experienced the sound of these chappies, then a trip down the record shop is what I suggest: the big comeback also sees their three massive albums Dinosaur, You’re Living All Over Me and Bug rereleased. 

Here you can listen for yourself to grunge that should have had Nirvana writing prolific thankyou letters to Mascis et al, and the disturbing sound of a man shrieking from the pit of his tortured soul.
