    Gorillaz Unveil 'Plastic Beach' Artwork and Track-Listing

    Gorillaz have unveiled the full track-listing, artwork and release date of their eagerly-anticipated third album 'Plastic Beach'.

    Released on March 8th via Parlophone Records, the 16-track album features an array of special guests including Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Mos Def, Mark E Smith, Kano, Gruff Rhys, De La Soul, Bobby Womack and many more.

    The band recorded the album on a secret floating island deep in the South Pacific, a Plastic Beach HQ, made up of the detritus, debris and washed up remnants of humanity.

    You can see the modern-day Tracy Island on the album cover below.

    'Plastic Beach' is preceded by the single 'Stylo, which was leaked on blogs yesterday, is available to download on January 26th.

    After the leak yesterday, Murdoc from the cartoon collective tweeted:“A leak! A leak! Plastic Beach has sprung a leak! One of those Russian pirates has put a bullet hole in my island! My single's leaked! STYLO!”

    • I'm looking forward to this, but can they just drop the cartoon back story, getting pretty boring now. Albarn seems very pleased with himself when he repeatedly says people thought it was a real band, but he had no problem scrapping the barrel with two remix/b-side lps and a live lp.

    • How can anyone think it's "real"? they're cartoons. clearly there are people behind it. i think the cartoon aspect is fantastic. it's not the norm.
