Jared Followill has rubbished a tabloid report from earlier this week which said Kings Of Leon's fifth album has been delayed due to their obsession with golf.
The report in The Sun alleged that the Followills spent so much time on the golf course that the eagerly-anticipated record has been side-tracked.
However, speaking to Xfm's Steve Harris last night, bassist Jared revealed he hasn't even been near a golf course in two years.
He said: “I can deny it! I can tell you that I gave up golf probably about two years ago. I figured that if I wanted to throw away money and get pissed off, I'll just go to Vegas. Nathan does play golf, so that's probably where they got it. But it's freezing here right now, so he hasn't played in two or three months.
“If anything's delaying the record, it's the fact that we're really cosy at home. But we're actually starting that next week. We don't even have a studio picked out yet, but we're going to start the writing and getting some of the arrangements together and stuff like that.”
