La Roux's Elly Jackson says the duo are ready to take “a gamble” and embrace disco music on their second album.
The quiffed singer also reckons the LP will be less commercial than their hugely successful eponymous debut.
Asked whether the record will incorporate disco elements, Jackson enthused to BBC6music: “Definitely – really massively. I think it’s probably going to go a lot less mainstream, but it’s a bit of a gamble.
“I’m certainly not going to try and make a mainstream record and I’m not going to try and make a non-mainstream record. We’re going to make the record that me and Ben (Langmaid) want to make, but I have a feeling its going to be less mainstream.”
