Kelis will release her forthcoming new album via Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am's music group, which is part of Interscope.
The singer, formerly of Jive records, is expected to release the as-yet-untitled new effort in the New Year.
It features production from will.i.am, Boys Noize and David Guetta, who has produced the singer's new single, 'Acapella'.
“I love that I am now a new part of the Interscope family,” Kelis said.
“2010 is around the corner and I can’t wait to put out new music and spend time with real music fans on tour again.”
Will.i.am added: “Kelis represents the kind of edge that pushes all of us not just musically but stylistically as well.
“She has always opened new doors for her audience and we’re ready to walk through this next one with her.”
Kelis' last studio album, 'Kelis Was Here', was released in 2006.
