Arcade Fire are on course to release their third album in May 2010, it's been reported.
The band are currently finishing the follow-up to 2007's 'Neon Bible' in Montreal alongside producer Markus Dravs.
According to Billboard, the album will be preceded by a new single and live shows.
It is also understood that the band are currently considering offers to headline a number of festivals across North America next summer.
Arcade Fire last performed live at the Barack Obama Campaign Staff Ball in January, which formed part of the president's inauguration celebrations.
