Michael Jackson This Is It DVD Release Date Announced

Michael Jackson's This Is It will be released on DVD on January 26, it's been announced.

This Is It was created from over 100 hours of footage of the late singer rehearsing for his ill-fated comeback tour in London.

It became a huge box office hit when it was released worldwide in September.

As well as the Kenny Ortega-directed movie, the DVD will also include more than 90 minutes of bonus footage split into two documentaries.

Staging the Return: Beyond the Show and Staging the Return: The Adventure Begins show Jackson's preparations for the gigs.

Meanwhile, the Blu-ray Disc release will also feature uncut versions of the videos for 'Thriller' and 'Smooth Criminal', reports Billboard.

Jackson died on June 25 in Los Angeles - just two weeks before he was due to begin his pop comeback.
