Sir Paul McCartney has admitted that he's a big fan of X Factor rejects John and Edward.
The Beatles legend has also confirmed that he's in talks to appear on the final of the ITV 'talent' show.
Of John and Edward Grimes, Macca said: “It's impossible not to like them. They're a great couple of lads. But let's be honest, they were never going to last much longer in the show. They had to go."
The 67-year-old went on to explain that he has been speaking to his friend Dermot O'Leary about a possible performance on The X Factor.
"It's something we are talking about. Dermot is a lovely man who I know very well. He's full of energy and keen for me to do it.
"We're seeing if we can make it work. I've been watching on and off with my family. Sometimes it throws up someone brilliant like Leona Lewis. Other years have not been so good," he said according to The Sun.
Sir Paul McCartney releases the live DVD of his historic summer gig opening the Citi Field Stadium - 'Good Evening New York City' – on December 14.
