Lady Gaga made just $167 (£100) from over 1million plays on Spotify, it is claimed.
Swedish newspaper Expressen has published a report which claims the singer - real name Stefani Germanotta - has earned a relatively paltry amount from the peer-to-peer music streaming service.
The 1million figure quoted by the paper represents the amount of listens Gaga's biggest hit 'Pokerface' has amassed over a five month period in Spotify's start-up country Sweden.
A Swedish recording artist told econsultancy.com: "It is totally sick. We musicians have no rights, you may not charge [for music] any more."
The news comes on the day that Spotify launches its app on Symbian S.60 handsets.
