Michael Jackson's funeral in Los Angeles in September cost almost $1million, according to court documents.
The singer, who died in June, was buried during a private ceremony at Forest Lawn Cemetery on September 3.
Legal papers, released on Tuesday, include the cost of burial garments, the Jackson family's outfits and other security charges.
It appears that the singer's mother Katherine, brother Randy and sister Janet were involved in arranging the service.
Although the media were banned from attending the ceremony, the family's lawyer said they were concious that it should recognise Michael's fans.
"Mrs Jackson and her family wish to honour her son by a funeral that seeks to offer solace to his multitude of fans and by which the family also may be comforted," the lawyer said.
The final cost of the ceremony was $855,730, according to the Associated Press.
The service came two months after a public memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Jackson died on June 25 as he was preparing to make his pop comeback with a 50-night concert residency in London.
