Noel Gallagher: 'I'm Not Doing A Solo Album'

Noel Gallagher has revealed he's taking an extended hiatus instead of writing and recording a solo album.

The former Oasis man said last month that he was looking forward to bringing out his own music, but admits he's too busy “bumming around” watching Coronation Street.

He told the Daily Star: “I’m not doing a solo album as I’m taking time off.

“I’m enjoying bumming around watching Coronation Street. I much prefer it to EastEnders. That show is too depressing for me.”

Gallagher revealed yesterday that he plans to leave London, where he has lived for over a decade, for his native Manchester as the capital has “lost its spark.”

  • What Noel means is that he's run out of combinations of the two guitar chords he knows and has somehow managed to make a mint out of whilst in Oasis...

  • The man deserves some time off. When he's ready, he'll come out with an album that'll blow us all away. Besides, he just quit the group a few months ago. Why's everyone hounding him to record an album right this minute? You can't force or rush these things.
