Jonathan Ross bought a David Bowie self-portrait for £20,000 at a charity auction last night.
Ultra-minted Wossy decided to splash out after he scooped the Music Industry Trusts' Award at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Bowie painted the portrait – one of a series of five - back in 1995 ahead of the release of his album 'Outside'.
Earlier on in the ceremony, Paul Gambacini read out a letter from Bowie poking fun at Ross' non-existent music career.
He said: "I love both your records... and if I play them at the same time your Ws sound like Rs."
Music Industry Trusts' chairman, David Munns, said of Ross: "We salute Jonathan in recognition of his passion for music, enthusiasm for discovering and encouraging musicians and the importance of his two shows for artist development, providing valuable support in challenging times."
