Noel Gallagher is moving back up to his native Manchester from London as he believes the capital has “lost its spark”.
The 42-year-old was speaking at the Music Industry Trusts' Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel last night where he was hanging with his chums Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross.
He told the Metro: “I'm leaving London to go back up north, to Manchester. I've been advised to do a Rod Stewart, as in a tax exile, but I don't want to do it. But London has lost its spark.”
Noel was born in Longsight, Manchester and moved to London at Oasis' peak in the mid-nineties.
Last night the former Oasis man celebrated with Jonathan Ross after the chat show host was honoured with the main Music Industry Trusts' Award.
Wossy was presented the award by George Michael, while U2 and Sir Tom Jones both gave video tributes.
