A new survey has found that lyrics by The Beatles are easier to remember than those by Michael Jackson and Elvis.
Digital broadcaster Music Choice conducted a Europe-wide poll where they asked people to relay song lyrics to famous tracks.
It found that 89% of people knew the opening lines to The Beatles' 'Hard Days Night', while only 23% could recite the opening words of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' and Elvis Presley's 'Blue Suede Shoes'.
Statistically, women were proved twice as capable at remembering Michael Jackson lyrics than men.
Another finding in the poll of 4,136 people was that Michael Jackson's “come on” lyrics on his track 'Bad' were the most misquoted – MJ sadly didn't say “shamone”.
