Muse have defended their unlikely friend Kanye West saying he “genuinely feels bad” for his Taylor Swift outburst at the MTV VMAs.
Frontman Matt Bellamy explained they were introduced to Kanye while supporting U2 in America and believe he is a “nice, sensitive guy.”
Speaking to the Daily Star at the Q Awards yesterday, Bellamy said: “Kanye West introduced himself to us after a recent US gig when we played with U2.
“He’s a very relaxed, nice, sensitive guy. I know most people were like: ‘What the hell is he doing?’ during the MTV awards but I really think he didn’t intentionally want to hurt Taylor Swift. I think he genuinely feels bad for offending her.”
