A small group of Michael Jackson fans will today (October 27) launch a protest about the new concert film, This Is It.
They claim the movie, which shows the late singer rehearsing for his ill-fated comeback gigs, fails to portray Jackson honestly.
It is due to be premiered simultaneously in cities around the world, including London, later.
However, some fans of the singer claim This Is It overlooks Jackson's declining health in the weeks before his death.
Speaking to the BBC, one fan, Talin Shajanian from Los Angeles, said she saw the King of Pop's condition change “drastically” and described him as “unusually thin”.
Shajanian claims to have gained Jackson's trust along with a small group of fans who would regularly wait for him to finish his rehearsals.
She said he went "from being excited about doing the shows to being concerned and not happy with the way things were going, and under a lot of pressure".
"He shared this with us, the pressure that he felt, the concerns that he had," she said.
"He specifically said he was only one person and only had a certain amount of energy to give, that so much was expected of him for these shows."
The This Is It movie takes its name from Jackson's scheduled comeback gigs, which were due to take place over 50 dates in London.
The singer died on June 25 in Los Angeles just two weeks before his tour was set to begin.
