Twilight star Robert Pattinson has revealed he wants to record an album.
The 23-year-old British actor, who shot to fame last year as vampire Edward Cullen, said he hoped to be able to take the record on the road.
“I’m not particularly interested in releasing it, but I’d like to do some gigs. I guess the only way to do that is to get an album out," he told the Australian Telegraph.
But Pattinson added that fans should not expect a musically complex album.
"I never manage more than five chords,” he said. "I have to work on that."
Pattinson is no stranger to music after contributing two songs to the soundtrack for the original Twilight film.
But in a recent interview, the actor claimed his appearance on the score made him feel like a “complete tosser”.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Pattinson will not feature on the soundtrack to the second installment of The Twilight Saga, New Moon.
The score, which is out now, instead features songs by Thom Yorke, Muse and Editors.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon is released in cinemas worldwide on November 20.
