A man accused of assaulting Leona Lewis at a book signing in London has been deemed not fit to attend court.
Peter Kopwalczyk, 29, was charged with attacking the former X Factor winner earlier this month as she signed copies of her new autobiography, Dreams.
He was due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday (October 26) but a judge was told he had been sectioned under the mental health act.
Kopwalczyk, who is thought to be a former X Factor reject, is being examined by psychiatrists, according to the Press Association.
Lewis has yet to speak about the incident, which came 90 minutes into a scheduled three-hour signing.
As well as promoting her autobiography, the singer is currently preparing to release her second album, 'Echo'.
