Chris Brown Announces Tour, Ticket Sales To Be Donated To Domestic-Violence Charity

Chris Brown has announced details of an extensive US tour, which gets under way in Houston on November 14.

The 17-date dates will mark Brown's first full tour since he pleaded guilty to assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna.

The jaunt, entitled the Fan Appreciation tour, also includes dates in Washington, New Jersey and New York.

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be split between two charities - Best Buddies International and Jenesse Center, a domestic-violence intervention organisation.

The singer was given five years' probation and ordered to do community labour for attacking Rihanna in Los Angeles in February.

Brown's tour announcement yesterday coincided with the launch of Rihanna's new single and album, 'Rated R', which is released on November 23.

    • How much of a portion of the proceeds?

    • Was this Chris Brown's idea or his publicist's idea to give proceeds to these two charities? It’s amazing that the two organizations chosen have plenty of financial backing, including the Kennedy name and celebrity sponsors. Why not choose an organization in need of funding? Are we supposed to applaud Chris Brown for his so-called charity? It looks more like a publicity stunt to win back fans.
