    Flowered Up Singer Liam Maher Dies

    A report from the band's record label confirms...

    Liam Maher, the singer of early nineties baggy band Flowered Up, has died.

    Details of his death remain sketchy, but a report from the band's record label confirming the sad news.

    Formed in Camden in 1990, Flowered Up released one Madchester-esque album 'A Life With Brian' in 1991 before their split three years later.

    The group scored four top 40 hits in the UK with 'Take It', 'It's On', 'Weekender' and a cover of the Right Said Fred track 'Don't Talk Just Kiss'.

    The group were set to reform in 2007 but their plans fell through.

    • We use to laugh our bollocks off when we grafted down East Street market.We took the piss out of everyone.Some of the funniest days of my life.I'm saddened to the core and saltwater tears fill my eyes as I write.He always believed the comeback was on!! I googled to see,and I'm left shocked and deflated.Never a bad word,genuinly honest.Hope his brothers ,sister ,daughter and rest of family are pulling together.I lost contact a while back and now I'm hurting.Jim
