The Dead Weather are “halfway” through completing work on their second album, singer Alison Mosshart has revealed.
Mosshart said she plans to return to bandmate Jack White's home in Nashville to finish the record in December.
The singer told BBC Newsbeat the band had recently written 15 new songs during an unexpected three day break.
She said: "They [the songs] sound great. I really like them. We've been playing three or four of them on stage so they keep changing all the time.
"The boys are extremely quick but the four that we do have I'm sure are on YouTube. I'm sure they're everywhere."
The Dead Weather, who also include Jack Lawrence and Dean Fertita, released their debut album 'Horehound' in the summer.
The group are due to begin an eight-date tour in Manchester on Monday (October 19).
