A man has been arrested by police after Leona Lewis was punched at a book signing session today.
The X Factor winner appeared at Waterstones in Piccadilly, London this afternoon to sign copies of her autobiography 'Dreams' but was allegedly hit by a member of the public.
In a statement to the Press Association, Scotland Yard confirmed that an unnamed man has been held in custody "following reports of an assault against a female".
Leona had been due to appear on BBC1's The One Show this evening but understandably pulled out.
Dreams, the 24-year-old's first book, includes dialogue about the singer's life, as well as 100 new photographs taken by Dean Freeman.
Lewis's debut album 'Spirit' has sold nearly five million copies around the world since it was released in 2007.

- I think that it is sad that Leona Lewis was slapped! There is something called a bodyguard! I wonder where he or she was at that time! I think that it is wrong that a man like him would do something like that! Leona Lewis keep your head high and Never give up no matter what happens!! :)

- Boo hoo, who gives a hoot?

- I wish someone would slap you "GarlicYoda" you stupid arse!!!!

- Kathleen! You seem very excited! About everything!
Maybe you don't need to use the exlaimation mark so much! ;)

- I think you need to look at your own spelling before commenting on Kathleen use of the exclamation mark. EXCLAMATIONS, not exlaimation, please feel free to note down the correct spelling
