Ian Curtis Painting To Be Auctioned Off For Charity - Photos

Artist Pete McKee is auctioning off a cartoon portrait of late Joy Division legend Ian Curtis to raise money charity.

The image of Curtis sitting in a Cafe (pictured above) is part of McKee's new exhibition 'Great Moments In Manchester Music' which will tour around the city until January 14 next year.

Funds raised will go to the Manchester and Sheffield branches of  the emotional support charity, Samaritans.

McKee said of the piece: “I am delighted to be able to hold this auction and hopefully raise lots of money for charity. Samaritans is a fantastic organisation who have helped people close to me in the past.

“The painting of Ian Curtis is one of my personal favourites, and i have already had plenty of interest from potential bidders”.
