Dr Dre has admitted his long-awaited new album won't be released until at least 2010.
'Detox' was originally due in 2004, but has been hit by persistent delays. It was last scheduled to be released this year.
But in a new interview the rapper and producer said he was suffering from a lack of “motivation”.
"Hopefully, I'll get it done at the end of this year, and we can hear it next year,” he told ABC News.
The album is the follow-up to Dr Dre's critically acclaimed '2001', which was released in 1999.
A number of the album's postponed release dates have been attributed to Dr Dre's production work with other artists, including Eminem and 50 Cent.
